What is a try dive?
A try dive costs £5 and allows you
to try scuba diving with a qualified instructor in the safe confines of a
swimming pool. All necessary equipment will be provided by the club and all
you will need to bring along is a swimming costume and a t-shirt fill in a
simple form to say you are fit and healthy
The try dive consists of introducing you to the equipment, what it does and
how it works. Then following a series of small exercises the instructor will
take you into the pool to try out the equipment and allow you to experience
the sensation of swimming and breathing underwater.
How do I organise a Try Dive?
Try dive sessions are held once a
month see timetable. To organise a try dive the easiest way is to
contact the Diving Officer Mick Barraclough, he will be able to book a
time for you to come down to the pool and will be able to guarantee that
equipment and an instructor will be available. You can also visit the club
on a Tuesday or Friday evening and ask about a try dive and enjoy a
social evening with the club.
