Welcome to Bradford Sub Aqua New Members
This section is to enable existing members to look out for newly joined members to provide them with adequate support and information, making them welcome in all club activities. All new members are introduced to the committee to enable them to recognise whom to seek advice and support from in the first instance. It also enables new members to inform existing members of their likes and dislikes and hopefully ensures that all new members have a great experience as members of the Bradford Sub Aqua Club.

My first dive
Today I went to Eccleston Delf with My Dad, MickB, Mick K and Meg. It was my first proper open
water dive, so I was pretty nervous. Mick B was my instructor he’s the best diver in our Branch so I
really wanted to impress him.I’ve done quite alot of pool dives so i Knew what i was doing.
When I first arrived at Eccleston I was really anxious. We drove down to the car park at the
beach to get kitted up. Mick was really helpful when we were entering the quarry . We had earlier
decided we would stay in the shallow bit around 3M. It was magical; I was in a land I hadn’t been to
before. As we swam the cool water wash by my face as the fish calmly swam around. As we
were gliding through the blissful depths a shape was forming in the horizon. I looked at Mick not
knowing if it was safe he gave me the ok sign and we carried on. It turned out that the shape was
actually a wreck, well; it was more a sunken playground. There was a see saw a few wobbly things
and a small climbing frame. I suddenly found out that there was nothing to be worried about I was
doing fine. When I realised this all the tension was swept away I was in safe hands and i just needed
to remember that this is not a exam it’s a hobby and I just need to relax and enjoy the rest of my
dive. Which is exactly what i did ----------------------------------------------------------------------------.
