Bradford sub aqua club has been in existence and has also been training divers the BSAC way for over 50 years
Of course, the B.S.A.C. and our club welcomes all divers. Many people try diving whilst on holiday, and then wish to continue when they return home.
We will be happy to help you continue your diver training and assist you to gain further experience and/or Qualifications.
Any training or certification which you have already received can be used as a part of BSAC qualifications.
Why Choose the BSAC?
Simply because they are unique in the world of sports diving and the biggest and most experienced diving club in the world.

Along with friendly and supportive members who have varied interests in diving, dive every week of the year and are keen to help you go where YOU want to go in scuba diving.
Why you should join our club ?
We are a very active club with male and female members of ages ranging from 12 to 60+. For those new to diving we hold weekly sessions at a local swimming pool, where we provide try dives and teach basic skills. Once members are comfortable in the water, they can join us on our regular visits to sheltered open water centres such as Capernwray and Eccleston Delph for training exercises, where we practice a wide range of diving skills. We also frequently organise weekend trips to go ocean diving in places such as Anglesey, Eyemouth, the Farne Islands, Isle of Whithorn, and more. On these trips we either take our two club RIBs, rent a hard boat, or simply dive from the shore.
Last year we went to Oban at Easter, staying on the Gaelic Rose and diving on wrecks such as the Nevada, Tapti, and Rondo, to name a few. The highlight of 2010 was a dive trip to Sharm el Sheikh on the liveaboard boat Contessa Mia, where we did four dives a day on both wrecks and reefs. The highlight of that trip was diving on the SS Thistlegorm; lying in 13 to 30 metres of water she was sunk on 6th Oct, 1941 with a cargo of BSA motorcycles, Bedford trucks, rifles and ammo. It is truly a magnificent wreck – you can see photos from this trip on our website.
This year we have had trips to Anglesey, Oban, Eyemouth, Isle of Whithorn and South Shields. Another highlight has been a trip to Scapa Flow, diving the imperial German battle fleet such as the Dresden, Brummer and the Kronprinz Wilhelm, a First World War battle ship. We also have dives planned for later in the year; the Farne Islands diving with the seal pups, South Shields, and possibly St Abbs.
We hope this has whetted your appetite for diving with us! Do call in and see us - we have a fully licensed bar where you can come to meet our members and discuss your diving wishes. We are open Tuesday and Friday evenings from 19.30 to 22.30.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
